About The Position

Agri-Mark/McCadam/Cabot Creamery, with over 100 years of history rooted in farming, family, and a strong mission, is seeking a Plant Production Supervisor for its Middlebury, VT location. Cabot Creamery is a certified B Corp since 2012, demonstrating a commitment to a sustainable global economy. This role involves overseeing cheese or whey production, ensuring quality, volume, cost standards, and customer specifications are met. The position requires strong leadership to guide production employees, fostering a culture of ethics, integrity, safety, quality, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills, along with computer proficiency. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and SQF programs is essential. The typical schedule is a 12-hour night shift (5pm-5am) on a 4-on-4-off rotating basis, though this may change based on production needs. Requirements

Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, continuous improvement skills and computer proficiency including Microsoft Office is necessary.
Solid knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety and Food Quality (SQF) programs.
3-5+ years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

An associates or bachelor’s degree in business or technical field with experience in dairy manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

Direct responsibility for primarily cheese production or primarily whey production, but sometimes covers other departments, to ensure that quality, volume, cost standards, and customer specifications are achieved.
Strong leadership for production employees within the plant.
Promoting and modeling a culture of ethics, integrity, safety, quality, efficiency and constant application of best practices.
Train, motivate, coach and lead others in great work.
