About The Position

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the operation and oversight of liquid chemical blending manufacturing. This role involves directing, organizing, and overseeing the blending of chemical products, ensuring all formulation and blending functions are completed in accordance with established quality and production standards. The supervisor will also manage inventory levels, ensure machinery operates properly, and evaluate production employees. Additionally, they will organize, schedule, and prioritize production functions, maintain the production schedule, and inform management of any significant issues. The role requires ensuring procedures, quality, and safety standards are met, deadlines are achieved, and the work area is maintained. The Production Supervisor will also foster good communication and coordination with personnel and management, provide suggestions for improvement, and perform additional duties as necessary.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent (minimum).
  • Prior knowledge of formulating, testing, and inspecting various chemical products.
  • At least three one year of chemical production (or related) supervisory experience.
  • Able to operate production machinery.
  • Quality orientation and attentive to detail.
  • Strong supervisory abilities.
  • Solid decision-making skills.
  • Able to perform basic computer functions.

Responsibilities

  • Directing, organizing, and overseeing the blending of chemical products.
  • Ensuring that all formulation and blending functions are completed in accordance with established quality and production standards.
  • Communicating with purchasing and inventory teams to ensure that supplies and inventory are at appropriate levels.
  • Setting up machinery and ensuring that machinery operates properly.
  • Assisting with other production activities as needed.
  • Evaluating production employees.
  • Completing the duties of Blending Specialists as needed.
  • Organizing, scheduling, and prioritizing formulation and blending production functions.
  • Ensuring that processes are being completed according to Company standards and specifications.
  • Completing related paperwork, reports, and support functions.
  • Maintaining the production schedule provided by the Customers Production Planned.
  • Informing management of any significant problems, issues or concerns.
  • Ensuring production procedures and instructions are followed.
  • Ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
  • Ensuring that deadlines are met.
  • Ensuring that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
  • Reviewing and updating production policies and procedures regularly.
  • Assuming responsibility for establishing and maintaining good communication, coordination, and working relations with Company personnel and with management.
  • Providing suggestions for improved performances.
  • Additional duties as necessary.
