Join IMT and let’s shape the future together! THE PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING STRONG LEADERSHIP AND CLEAR DIRECTION TO UNIONIZED EMPLOYEES WITHIN A MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT. THIS ROLE ENSURES THAT PRODUCTION TARGETS ARE MET SAFELY AND EFFICIENTLY WHILE MAINTAINING QUALITY, COST, AND DELIVERY STANDARDS. THE SUPERVISOR WORKS CLOSELY WITH OPERATIONS, MAINTENANCE, QUALITY, AND HUMAN RESOURCES TO ENFORCE COMPANY POLICIES, IMPLEMENT IMPROVEMENTS, AND FOSTER A SAFE AND RESPECTFUL WORKPLACE.

Requirements

  • Industrial Management Certificate and or/Supervisor Training
  • 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment
  • Manufacturing processes and machinery
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Operator Process Control (OPC)
  • Labour Relations and union environment
  • Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and related regulations
  • WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems)
  • Familiarity with production scheduling, material flow, and operational KPI’s
  • Strong leadership, decision making, and motivational skills
  • Conflict resolution and team-building abilities
  • Effective communication, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in planning, organization, and time management
  • Canadian Citizen or hold a Permanent Residency.

Responsibilities

  • Providing strong leadership and clear direction to unionized employees within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ensuring that production targets are met safely and efficiently while maintaining quality, cost, and delivery standards.
  • Working closely with operations, maintenance, quality, and human resources to enforce company policies, implement improvements, and foster a safe and respectful workplace.
  • Handling multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
  • Leading by example in a fast-paced unionized environment.
  • Administering policies consistently and fairly.
  • Working under pressure and making quick, sound decisions.
  • Adapting to changing business and operational needs.
  • Managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Training and developing employees.
