Under the direction of the Manager, Production, this position has the responsibility to develop, maintain, staff, coordinate, and support the management of production processes. The goal is to ensure the achievement of high levels of efficiency and economical costs, and to support operational/customer-driven requirements. This role involves implementing systems and procedures, developing and monitoring KPIs and methodologies for maximum throughput and efficient resource utilization. The supervisor will respond to questions regarding daily work procedures, provide training, and assign work to maximize production output. This position accomplishes manufacturing results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, and initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. The role ensures appropriate resources and supplies are procured and available to support operations, maintains quality by establishing and enforcing organizational standards, and performs production tasks as needed to ensure order completion. The supervisor will work with the team to improve processes and increase efficiencies, effectively communicate problems and present solutions to promote knowledge flow within the business relating to service issues, and participate in cross-functional teams to manage and provide processing input for productivity, efficiency, and quality standards. Production planning is required to efficiently manage backlogs and manpower requirements by assessing workflow and making adjustments to conserve resources without compromising efficiency. The role utilizes timekeeping, attendance reporting, and Labor Distribution reporting. A positive department attitude is essential, ensuring all supervised employees are aligned with company goals. The supervisor directly and indirectly supervises employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, with an objective of maintaining good employee relations, safety, productivity, and quality with a constant emphasis on continuous improvement. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training plans, cross-training plans, delegating, assigning, directing, coaching, motivating, performance evaluation, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
