About The Position

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a production team, coordinating daily schedules to meet quality and output goals, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This role involves monitoring employee performance, addressing underperformance, resolving workplace disputes, and managing workforce assignments to prevent bottlenecks. The supervisor is also tasked with mentoring and developing team members, creating and editing operating procedures, and maintaining knowledge of processes and equipment. Collaboration with cross-functional departments like QA, Safety, Engineering, Logistics, and Maintenance is essential, as is fostering a positive team environment. The position requires working in a factory environment with potential exposure to high noise levels, vibration, fumes, dust, odors, and extreme temperatures, with a demanding schedule that includes a 2-week rotating shift and overtime.

Requirements

Ability to work 24/7, 7:00am-7:00pm, 2-week rotating schedule, and overtime required.
Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
Detail oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.
Stand/Walk/Push/Pull up to 12 hours daily
Bending/Stooping/Sitting up to 12 hours daily
Repetitive Movement up to 12 hours daily
Lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
Forklift certification / ability to immediately obtain.
Ability to read labels on pipe along with specs on paper, and read pressure gauges.
Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties.
Ability to multitask in fast paced environment.
Must be able to work in factory environment which may include but are not limited to: high noise level, vibration, fumes, dust, and odors.
Working conditions may be inside and outside with extreme temperature.
Utilize recommended safe work habits and make use of all safety equipment provided.
Travel less than 10%
High School diploma or equivalent required
3–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Proven experience managing medium to large teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven operation.
Ability to read, write and speak English.
Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties as required
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office; aptitude to learn all required applications and systems.

Responsibilities

Manage workforce assignments, and resolve bottlenecks to keep production on track.
Mentor and develop team members through coaching, performance reviews, and corrective action when needed.
Create new / edit existing operating procedures.
Maintain progressive knowledge of operating processes, procedures and the proper use of all equipment.
Collaborate with cross-functional departments, including QA, Safety, Engineering, Logistics and Maintenance.
Foster a positive and cooperative team environment by addressing conflict and promoting collaboration.
Comply with all NOV Quality, HSE and all other Company policies and procedures.
Maintain a clean & organized work area; utilize safe work habits.
Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
