About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring our production needs are met including meeting throughputs and timelines, training and motivating production personnel, aiding with performance reviews, and other miscellaneous tasks. They will supervise around 13 production personnel across several production lines. They will report to the Plant Manager.

Requirements

  • Speak, read, and write English fluently
  • High awareness and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Extreme level of integrity and discipline
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing labor and/or warehouse labor
  • Skilled with mechanical equipment and tools
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and train other employees in a positive and constructive manner
  • 2+ years or more of food manufacturing experience or similar
  • 2+ years of forklift experience
  • Knowledge of inventory management strategies, terminology, concepts
  • Computer savvy, including Microsoft suite, inventory management software, etc.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, & habit-forming skills
  • High energy, fast paced, physically capable, relentless productivity

Responsibilities

  • Verify all components of a production are accurate and ready on time across multiple production rooms.
  • Work with change-over techs and Material Handlers and line operators to calibrate the production line for each production order and perform in-process checks to confirm production meets specifications.
  • Assist with changeover processes ensuring the proper equipment is prepared, cleaned, and set up.
  • Ensure line employees adherence to specifications and standards so that we ship only excellent product.
  • Assist in training new leads and line employees.
  • Ensure line leads are meeting production goals/throughputs and report.
  • Ensuring pristine quality.
  • Ensuring safety of production personnel by ensuring compliance, training, and providing solutions.
  • Assist with shipping/receiving.
  • Communicate shortcomings, challenges, needs, solutions and help put into effect solutions.
