About The Position

The Production Supervisor will lead and support employees within the assembly and final inspection departments. This role involves coordinating daily staffing and workflow priorities to meet production schedules and customer deadlines, while monitoring employee performance through coaching, feedback, corrective actions, and performance discussions. The supervisor will promote accountability, communication, teamwork, and employee engagement, and assist in onboarding and training new employees. Effective communication of production updates, schedule changes, and departmental priorities is essential. The role ensures assembly and final inspection activities are completed accurately and on time, reviews schedules, sequences, and work priorities to maintain department efficiency, and troubleshoots production or assembly issues. Support for continuous improvement efforts related to efficiency, workflow, quality, and safety is expected, along with coordination with other departments for smooth production flow and issue resolution. The supervisor will also assist with documentation, tracking production progress, and maintaining operational records. Ensuring products meet company quality standards, verifying inspections, addressing quality concerns, and reinforcing adherence to work instructions are key quality responsibilities. Safety responsibilities include supporting and enforcing company safety policies, ensuring employees are trained on safety procedures, conducting safety observations, and ensuring compliance with LOTO procedures and safe equipment operation practices.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3–5 years of manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, or production experience.
  • Basic electrical, mechanical, or assembly troubleshooting knowledge.
  • Ability to read blueprints, prints, and schematics.
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ownership.
  • Effective communication with employees, leadership, vendors, and support departments.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and adapt to changing production demands.
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving capabilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior leadership, lead, or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience in manufacturing or assembly environments.
  • Forklift experience or certification.
  • Knowledge of LOTO procedures and manufacturing safety standards.
  • Experience with production documentation, scheduling, or performance management.

  • Ensure employees are properly trained on JSAs/JHAs, PPE requirements, and safe work practices.
  • Conduct safety observations, inspections, and corrective actions as needed.
  • Stop work or escalate issues when unsafe conditions or behaviors are identified.
  • Ensure compliance with LOTO procedures and safe equipment operation practices.
