The Production Supervisor (3rd Shift, 10:30pm - 6:30am CST) will be responsible for all of the following during their shift: Safety, production, quality, employee’s effectivity, and leading their department’s scheduling. This role requires ensuring effective employee relations, providing employee mentorship and development, making employment decisions, and resolving employee issues through problem resolution and working with union representation. The supervisor will ensure schedule alignment, meaning department employees are present at the beginning of each shift and in work areas, and that manning is in agreement with the scheduled priority. The role involves balancing quality, effectivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas, and working towards Continuous Improvement. Supervision of employee development includes training, procedural and JSA alignment. The supervisor will perform investigations for safety incidents, including near misses, first aides, and OSHA issues, and recommend actions to prevent reoccurrences. Coordination with Human Resources and the operations manager for any required disciplinary actions is also a key responsibility. A significant portion of the shift, approximately 75%, will be spent on the production floor in the assigned department. This role also includes running and maintaining attendance records in E-time, and inventory management and production recording in SAP.
