About The Position

The Production Supervisor leads daily production operations while developing a high-performing team focused on safety, quality, delivery, and continuous improvement. This role goes beyond supervising production — it requires a leader who can anticipate challenges, improve processes, and build engaged teams that consistently deliver results. The supervisor partners closely with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to meet customer expectations and drive operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent professional experience
  • 0–5 years of professional work experience
  • Demonstrated leadership potential through academics, internships, projects, athletics, military service, or early career roles
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both frontline employees and leadership
  • High level of ownership, initiative, and learning agility

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field
  • Internship or work experience in manufacturing, logistics, operations, or analytical roles
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or process optimization
  • Experience leading projects, teams, or initiatives (formal supervision not required)

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coach a team of 20+ production associates
  • Establish clear expectations and accountability for safety, quality, and productivity
  • Provide consistent feedback, recognition, and performance coaching
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new employees
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and performance-driven team culture
  • Execute daily production plans to meet customer and operational targets
  • Plan and organize work priorities, staffing, and workflow
  • Monitor performance metrics and address gaps proactively
  • Collaborate with Plant Manager and Plant Coordinator to anticipate operational needs
  • Maintain a safe working environment aligned with OSHA and internal safety standards
  • Enforce company policies fairly and consistently
  • Submit timely incident documentation and corrective actions
  • Promote a safety-first culture across the production floor
  • Investigate operational deviations using root-cause analysis
  • Implement corrective and preventative actions
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing efforts
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and team effectiveness
  • Review and approve timekeeping, overtime, and payroll adjustments
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to team member performance and operations
  • Communicate effectively across shifts and departments
