About The Position

Takes full responsibility of the shift in terms of management of staff, management of production and quality targets and to ensure the smooth running of the production processes. Ensures the quality of product that is produced within the shift is in line with the company’s quality systems, processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • Strong communication, coaching, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, GMP, quality systems, and manufacturing performance metrics.
  • Ability to analyze production data and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, BOMs, production yield, and cycle counts.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and lead a team to meet safety, quality, and production goals.

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience with IQMS or similar manufacturing ERP systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support manufacturing employees by setting expectations, assigning work, monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and resolving conflicts.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies, PPE requirements, security procedures, and workplace standards; complete required STOP observations.
  • Maintain GMP/5S housekeeping standards and organized, safe, efficient work cells.
  • Ensure effective communication and shift-to-shift handoffs, including manufacturing-area walkthroughs and review of housekeeping and work-cell performance.
  • Communicate and enforce company policies, procedures, and quality requirements, including Certified Operator training, MRB, and quarantine processes.
  • Train, coach, counsel, discipline, and evaluate employees while identifying and developing talent for future opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate employee time records and ensure employees are properly trained and certified for assigned work.
  • Monitor and report production performance, inventory, cycle counts, IQ reconciliation, yield, efficiency, utilization, OEE, and other manufacturing metrics.
  • Analyze manufacturing data to identify performance gaps, recommend improvements, and support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Use effective problem-solving and root-cause analysis to quickly resolve production and quality issues.
  • Maintain accurate production and inventory information within IQMS, including production entries, scrap, dispositions, cycles, cavitation, and error corrections.
  • Ensure proper inventory management, including FIFO, location accuracy, scanning, and periodic inventory requirements.
  • Understand BOMs and their impact on production yield and performance.
  • Manage company resources efficiently and effectively while supporting departmental and organizational goals.
