About The Position

Roth Industries is a nationally recognized food manufacturer producing fresh prepared foods distributed to more than 8,000 retail locations across the United States. We’re looking for a motivated Production Supervisor to lead our AM Shift at our Colorado Springs facility. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on manufacturing leader who enjoys developing teams, driving production performance, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality in a fast-paced environment. As the Production Supervisor – AM Shift, you’ll oversee daily production activities, lead frontline employees, and help ensure production schedules are met safely, efficiently, and in compliance with USDA and food safety regulations. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with previous food manufacturing leadership experience who enjoys coaching employees and driving continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience required
  • Experience with USDA, GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production reporting
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States (sponsorship is not available)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred
  • Previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred
  • Food manufacturing or other highly regulated manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • Lean Manufacturing or Lean Six Sigma experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily production activities during the AM shift
  • Ensure production schedules and operational goals are achieved
  • Lead shift start-up meetings and coordinate smooth shift handoffs
  • Monitor staffing levels and production performance throughout the shift
  • Maintain efficient workflow while minimizing downtime
  • Train, coach, and develop production employees
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and employee engagement
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback and support
  • Assist with staffing, attendance, and daily workforce management
  • Ensure compliance with USDA, GMP, HACCP, sanitation, and food safety standards
  • Promote a strong Safety First and Quality First culture
  • Complete production documentation accurately and on time
  • Support internal audits and regulatory inspections
  • Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives and process improvements
  • Monitor production KPIs, labor efficiency, yields, and throughput
  • Help identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve productivity
  • Assist with implementing corrective actions when needed
  • Partner with Maintenance to resolve equipment issues
  • Work closely with Quality, Warehouse, and Supply Chain teams
  • Communicate production updates and operational challenges to leadership
  • Support initiatives that improve overall plant performance
