About The Position

This role is responsible for supervising all production and sanitation activities through various shift leads. The Production Supervisor will train, direct, and motivate team members to achieve department goals related to yield, quality, productivity, and safety. This position is directly responsible for the development and training of team members, adhering to company policies, and monitoring standards to control the area of responsibility. The supervisor will provide timely feedback on exceptions in productivity, downtime, quality, yield, cost, and safety. Additionally, they will ensure all preventive maintenance is performed on equipment within their control and collaborate with their supervisor on suggested improvements for efficiency, profitability, and safety. The role also includes conducting safety orientations and holding required safety/general meetings.

Requirements

  • B.S. or B.A. degree in Business Management or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the food processing industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Balanced technical/mechanical/human resource knowledge.
  • Ability to evaluate line team members fairly and objectively.
  • Ability to interface on a daily basis with all support groups or departments.
  • Ability to submit and pass a criminal background check.

  • Giving safety orientations and holding safety/general meetings as required.
