Reporting to the Assistant Plant Manager, the Production Supervisor – Meat is responsible for leading a high-performing production team on 2nd shift while driving safety, quality, productivity, employee engagement, and continuous improvement. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who enjoys developing people, solving problems, and improving manufacturing performance in a fast-paced USDA food manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a USDA food manufacturing environment, preferably meat processing.
Proven ability to lead large hourly production teams.
Strong working knowledge of USDA regulations, HACCP, SQF, GMPs, OSHA, and food safety standards.
Experience managing labor, production schedules, and departmental performance metrics.
Ability to coach employees, resolve conflict, and hold team members accountable.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with ERP or manufacturing systems preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop hourly production employees while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Execute the daily production schedule while meeting safety, quality, labor, and productivity targets.
Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions to achieve operational goals.
Partner with Maintenance, Quality, Sanitation, Warehouse, and Planning to resolve production issues and minimize downtime.
Conduct shift start-up meetings and communicate production priorities, safety expectations, and performance metrics.
Investigate production, quality, and safety incidents and implement corrective actions.
Maintain compliance with USDA, FDA, SQF, HACCP, GMP, and company policies.
