About The Position

Flex is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor located in Austin, TX to support its manufacturing operations. This role reports to the Engineering Manager and is responsible for the troubleshooting, repairing, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment to meet cost, quality, and delivery requirements. The position involves directing daily activities to optimize equipment use, establishing preventative maintenance schedules, generating maintenance logs and metrics, forecasting departmental costs, and assessing resource needs. The role also requires coordinating with engineering and operations, selecting and developing personnel, implementing safety programs, troubleshooting automated equipment, and ensuring adherence to ISO and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Maintenance Experience
  • 5 years of Maintenance Experience
  • 5 years of Supervisory, Team Management, Team Building Experience with automated machinery and robotics.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems and ability to manage maintenance teams across shifts.
  • Proficiency in mathematical concepts and their practical applications.

  • Use of various tools associated with the following areas may be required: Electronic Assembly, Cables, Testing, Machine Operations, Mechanical and Electrical Pneumatics Repair.

Responsibilities

  • Direct daily activities to optimize equipment use and meet production demands.
  • Establish and manage preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Generates maintenance logs and other operations metrics.
  • Forecast departmental operating costs and prepare budget requests.
  • Assess and determine resource needs for materials, equipment, and manpower.
  • Coordinate maintenance efforts with engineering and operations teams.
  • Select and develop personnel for efficient departmental functioning.
  • Implement safety programs to ensure a safe workplace.
  • Troubleshoot automated electronic and mechanical equipment in a high-volume environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and management.
  • Manage multiple assignments and projects efficiently.
  • Analyze problems, gather data, and draw conclusions.
  • Interpret technical instructions and manage various variables.
  • Ensure that all technical training team personnel are trained and certified in their specific functions, and that no task is performed by untrained personnel.
  • Ensures ISO and safety standards are adhered.
  • Leverages industry practices and applies to internal systems and processes.
