About The Position

The Production Supervisor is responsible for coaching and mentoring direct reports while efficiently overseeing and maintaining operations and a safe working environment in manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of ISO 13485
  • Fundamental knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing process improvement techniques.
  • Planning and execution skills include strong analytical abilities.
  • Strong computer skills include experience using ERP and proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, problem-solving skills and the ability and willingness to resolve conflict.
  • Strong team building skills, including the ability to coach and effectively teach to develop work teams.
  • Positive attitude with the ability to motivate and empower others
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Associate degree or higher in Business, Management, or equivalent education and/or experience
  • Minimum of 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment a plus

Nice To Haves

  • Experience Leading Continuous Improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing) is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the efficient operation of Manufacturing lines while maintaining compliance with ISO 13485 standards.
  • Provide direction and leadership to ensure production schedules and efficiency goals are achieved in support of plant operations, and objectives.
  • Schedules and directly supervises all production and production support operations.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Quality Control and Engineering Technical staff to ensure product quality and availability.
  • Assists in development and implements safety awareness programs.
  • Drive results through direct leadership and cross functional teamwork to develop strategic plans and procedures to increase the efficiency of production.
  • Assists with hiring new employees. Identifies training needs of subordinates through observations and achievement and provide training.
  • Manage staff, assign work, monitor activities, evaluate performance, and manage critical issues.
  • Identify and recommend measures to improve operator training and development, production methods, equipment performance and product quality.
  • Ability to operate all equipment and knowledgeable of equipment capabilities.
  • Build a cohesive team that works toward department and company goals.
  • May perform other or specific duties as directed by the Production Manager.
