This role is responsible for ensuring high levels of production, quality, and yield, while maintaining the safest working environment possible. The position requires a solid understanding of production processes, accurate record-keeping, line maintenance, and effective staffing. Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year in a meat manufacturing environment (preferably pork or beef), plus 1+ year of supervisory or team lead experience.
  • High school diploma required; additional education or specialized training preferred.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Responsible for overseeing a team performing related tasks and activities.
  • 1–5 trips per year.

Responsibilities

  • Review daily production orders to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer requirements.
  • Oversee morning exercises and job rotation to support Team Member ergonomics and well-being.
  • Ensure all machinery operates at peak performance and troubleshoot issues as needed.
  • Verify that all workstations meet USDA inspection standards.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through daily practices and lead monthly safety meetings.
  • Oversee accurate shipping, inventory rotation, and product coding.
  • Communicate company benefits and compensation policies clearly to Team Members.
  • Motivate and encourage Team Members to foster a high-performing, engaged workforce.
  • Handle human relations tasks including training, retention, and counseling on personal and professional matters.
  • Supervise various processing operations, collaborating with other supervisors to solve production issues.
  • Maintain records on reworked or returned products.
  • Provide continuous education to the team on the importance of quality.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.
