About The Position

Leads and manages production departmental activities to meet and/or exceed customer and company objectives. Operates as a strategic member of the management team, driving customer-focused results in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale while supporting continuous business improvement. Leads and manages all manufacturing and assembly operations to ensure efficient, cost-effective production of high-quality parts. Develops and implements manufacturing processes using lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Directs and oversees exempt and non-exempt personnel (300+), including hiring, development, performance management, and workforce planning. Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal/external customers and suppliers to achieve shared objectives and ensure customer satisfaction. Ensures compliance with production systems, company policies, and industry standards (IATF 16949, ISO 14000), while promoting safety, housekeeping, and corporate principles. Establishes departmental goals, monitors performance metrics, manages budgets/resources, and implements corrective actions to meet business plan targets. Drives employee development through training, communication, certification, and engagement while ensuring proper documentation, payroll approvals, and adherence to HR processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 6–8+ years of progressive experience in operations or manufacturing environments.
  • 3+ years of project management and/or supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership capability.
  • Advanced knowledge of manufacturing/operations concepts, plant operations management, and lean principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize, plan, and manage daily activities effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Project, etc.) and other business systems.
  • Proven ability to lead, train, and develop employees, including effective use of production/manufacturing equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with a track record of cross-functional collaboration.
  • Fluent in English with willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.
