About The Position

Heidtman Steel is a family-owned business with a 65-year legacy in steel processing. We are seeking individuals for multiple openings on our production team. This is a physically demanding job that requires standing, bending, twisting, stooping, and the ability to move up to 50 lbs. Computer literacy is required for maintaining production documents.

Requirements

• Computer literate to maintain production documents.
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, stoop, and move up to 50 lbs.
• Experience driving a forklift, overhead crane, material handler, and steel handler experience is desired.

Nice To Haves

• Prior forklift experience.
• Overhead crane operation experience.
• Material handler experience.
• Prior manufacturing experience operating a forklift, overhead crane, machine operator, or as a material handler, steel processor, steel handler or set up.
• Prior experience in machine operation and/or steel manufacturing experience is preferred for Slitter Opportunities.
• Prior experience operating steel slitter machines is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery in a steel processing center.
• Maintain associated production documents.
• Handle materials within the production facility.
