About The Position

Sets up and operates automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications. Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities and makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. This role requires working knowledge and skills to perform a defined set of analytical scientific or operational processes. Applies experience and skills to complete assigned work within own area of expertise. Works within standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods. Works with a moderate degree of supervision. Performs manual tasks according to established procedures. Sets up and operates production equipment to manufacture, process, and assemble various commercial products and substances. Uses product specifications, blueprints, diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOP) to produce products. Monitors output for quality and conformance to required metrics. Prepares and maintains required records of production activities and reports any inconsistencies or equipment issues. Follows established guidelines for safe material handling and protective gear. Studies and records time, motion, methods, and speed to improve efficiency. Establishes a standard production rate in performance of maintenance, production, clerical, and other worker operations. Troubleshoots issues related to manufacturing operations and industrial layout.

Requirements

  • Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 2-5 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
