About The Position

Connect Housing Blocks (CHB) is seeking experienced skilled construction professionals to join their production team. This is a hands-on opportunity for individuals with a strong construction background who want to bring their trade skills into a large-scale modular construction environment. The company is hiring across first and second shifts and is especially interested in candidates with experience in skilled trades such as plumbing, drywall, carpentry, finish work, exterior construction, and related construction disciplines. This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable working with their hands, understands construction processes, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can work effectively in a fast-paced production environment. At CHB, you're not working on small projects one job at a time. You're helping build modular housing at scale in one of the country's largest modular manufacturing facilities. You'll have the opportunity to apply the construction skills you've already developed while learning how those skills translate into a modern modular construction environment. We are building teams across our shifts, with opportunities for experienced skilled tradespeople and individuals who want to grow into greater responsibility, including future lead and foreman opportunities.

Requirements

• Previous construction or skilled trade experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability in at least one skilled construction discipline.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a team environment.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical construction work throughout the shift.
• Hands-on construction or skilled trade experience.
• Comfortable working in a production environment.
• Able to read measurements and follow construction plans or instructions.
• Understand construction sequencing and the importance of completing work correctly.
• Willing to learn CHB's processes and expand their skill set.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of construction and finish work throughout the modular building process, including plumbing installation and related rough-in work, drywall installation, finishing, and repair, carpentry and finish carpentry, interior trim and door installation, cabinet installation, countertop installation, exterior sheathing installation, exterior cladding and siding installation, and general framing and construction tasks.
• Installation, assembly, and finishing of modular building components.
• Reading and interpreting construction plans, drawings, and measurements.
• Inspecting your work to ensure quality, accuracy, and proper installation.
• Working alongside other skilled trades to keep production moving efficiently.
• Following established safety, quality, and production standards.
