About The Position

The Production Specialist ensures accurate documents, permits, and information flow throughout the build cycle. This role partners with LEAD, Production Planning, Operations, Sales, and Build teams to confirm all plans and documentation are complete and aligned before construction begins. The Production Specialist leads coordination meetings, manages forward‑looking production schedules, obtains permits, and ensures all teams receive accurate, up‑to‑date documents throughout each home’s lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Windows OS and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to quickly learn and use new software systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical ability
  • Highly organized with strong time‑management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Revit and CAD preferred

Responsibilities

  • Leads weekly Starts Meetings to align Production, Sales, Accounting, Operations, Build, LEAD, and other internal teams, ensuring each home is fully prepared for its scheduled start.
  • Maintains the Starts List, tracking projected starts and confirming all pre‑start requirements—contract signs, permits, plans, utilities, and documentation accuracy—are complete.
  • Coordinates with municipalities and permitting teams to support submissions and ensure compliance with local building requirements.
  • Works with Production Planning, Sales, Design, and Operations to keep construction documents accurate and consistent. Updates plans based on customer selections, design revisions, code changes, and product/plan updates.
  • Supports field teams by providing updated plans, resolving discrepancies, and communicating revisions promptly. Ensures digital plan files and supporting documents are organized, version-controlled, and accessible across company systems.
  • Reviews truss designs, structural layouts, and related plan elements for accuracy and alignment with approved drawings.
  • Participates in preconstruction meetings and internal audits to confirm readiness before plan release or construction starts.
  • Supports cross‑department improvement initiatives to enhance workflows, documentation quality, and efficiency.
