About The Position

The College of IST’s Office of Learning Design has an opening for a part-time Production Specialist, with a focus on multimedia video and accessibility. This position will primarily support the development of media content and apply accessibility standards for online courses that are part of the College’s undergraduate and graduate degree programs. This position is based at the University Park campus and is not fully remote.

Requirements

  • Experience and comfort using Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn about accessibility.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Canvas, and Kaltura.
  • Resume must be in Microsoft Word .docx format, use Arial 12pt font, and include your last name, the word “Resume,” and the number “0826” in the file name.
  • Cover letter must be in Microsoft Word .docx format, use Arial 12pt font, confirm availability to work fully in person for the first three weeks before transitioning to any approved hybrid schedule, and include your last name, the word “Cover,” and the number “0826” in the file name.
  • Cover letter must include 2–3 sentences explaining one thing you would check before publishing a video for students and why that check is important.
  • Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.

  • Familiarity with other Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
  • Awareness of copyright requirements and best practices.
  • Familiarity of Smartsheet.

Responsibilities

  • Edit videos using Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Organize and manage files for active and completed projects.
  • Caption, transcribe, and create audio description for videos.
  • Publish video content in Kaltura.
  • Editing PowerPoint files for accessibility.
  • Create alt-text and long descriptions for images.
  • Remediate Word, PowerPoint, and PDF files for accessibility.
  • Assisting with the development and revision of course materials in Canvas.
  • Conduct regular course quality assurance reviews.
