Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work orders, operating instructions and procedure manuals and manufacturing terminology.
- Ability to print simple sentences and legibly complete reports.
- Ability to follow and understand verbal instructions.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, to other employees of the organization and respond to questions.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratios, and percentages to practical situations.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Responsibilities
- Follow all safe work practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Check all work orders for specific work instructions.
- Perform quality checks with appropriate measuring devices.
- Accurately complete all paperwork as required by ISO, GMP, HACCP.
- Collect retains during hourly quality checks for Quality Control inspection.
- Inspect work for accuracy, completeness, and professional look.
- Perform random quality checks every 5 to 10 minutes to ensure product specifications.
- Ensuring correct material, packaging supplies and quality control tools are being used.
- Produce labels for cartons/spools.
- Set up lines, troubleshoot as necessary.
- Assign lot numbers as applicable.
- Limit process scrap to a minimum.
- Maintain line specifications.
- Pull, clean, and insert extruder screw.
- Disassemble and re-assemble extruder tooling; from the adapter to the pin and die.
- Bring up the extrusion line.
- Operate all pulling and cutting equipment.
- Change cutter blades, bushings, and channels as necessary.
