About The Position

As a Production Skills Trainer, you’ll provide hands-on, shop-floor training that prepares new and existing team members for success. You’ll strengthen knowledge of our production and service processes, Safety, Quality, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S, while partnering with the Training team and plant leadership to identify skill gaps and deliver training where it’s needed most.

Requirements

Comfortable using computer-based systems with the ability and willingness to learn new technology.
Associate degree OR 1+ years of progressive experience with Morgan.
Current Morgan team members must be in good standing at the time of application.
Experience with manufacturing processes and truck body building, including the ability to train or coach others.

Responsibilities

Build the skills of new and existing team members through hands-on training within production work centers.
Help team members confidently understand work orders, blueprints, work instructions, and production processes.
Evaluate capabilities, track progress through the Skills Matrix, and identify opportunities for continued development.
Reinforce Safety, Quality, and Continuous Improvement practices that support strong manufacturing performance.
Gather feedback and training data to identify skill gaps and continuously strengthen training programs.
Partner across departments on training, orientation, and interviews, including providing translation support as needed.
Travel approximately 25% to support other locations and assist with additional training needs as required.
