About The Position

Charter Manufacturing is seeking a motivated and people-focused Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations, develop employees, and help drive a culture of safety, trust, teamwork, and continuous improvement. This role is for the 3rd Shift in the Core Department at Charter Casting in Shawano, WI. The supervisor will oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensure production goals are met, drive productivity, quality, and waste reduction initiatives, and coordinate with other departments to support operational success. They will also support Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and safety initiatives, identifying opportunities for process enhancement and waste reduction.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
5+ years of manufacturing, industrial, foundry, metal processing, or related production experience.
Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
Strong ability to prioritize, delegate, and follow up on multiple responsibilities.
Proven coaching, employee development, and team-building skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to collaborate across departments and shifts.
Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability and urgency.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Manufacturing, Metallurgy, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience working within Lean Manufacturing environments.
Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or related certification.
Strong analytical and reporting skills.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills.

Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
Support Environmental, Quality, and Safety Management System requirements.
