About The Position

Charter Manufacturing is seeking a motivated and people-focused Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations, develop employees, and help drive a culture of safety, trust, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the Melt Department on the 3rd Shift at Charter Casting in Shawano, WI. The role involves overseeing daily operations, fostering employee development through coaching and performance management, and driving productivity, quality, and waste reduction initiatives. The supervisor will also coordinate with other departments, monitor workflow, and implement solutions to production challenges. A key aspect of the role is supporting Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives, promoting safe work practices, and identifying opportunities for process enhancement.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
5+ years of manufacturing, industrial, foundry, metal processing, or related production experience.
Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
Strong ability to prioritize, delegate, and follow up on multiple responsibilities.
Proven coaching, employee development, and team-building skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to collaborate across departments and shifts.
Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability and urgency.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Manufacturing, Metallurgy, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience working within Lean Manufacturing environments.
Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or related certification.
Strong analytical and reporting skills.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills.

Support Environmental, Quality, and Safety Management System requirements.
