About The Position

Premium Waters is seeking a Production Shift Lead for their new high-speed bottling line. This role supports the Production Supervisor in training staff and overseeing daily production activities. The Shift Lead is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment focused on quality, customer service, people development, and cost-effective production.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years Packaging or Manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.
  • Basic reading, writing, math, and computer skills.
  • Must be able to complete the forklift certification course and drive a forklift.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Production Supervisor in leading a team of 6-8 production personnel.
  • Promote a culture of trust, honesty, humility, integrity, and candor.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive environment through a feedback-driven workplace.
  • Drive safety compliance for all employees by setting and enforcing safety guidelines.
  • Provide hands-on safety training for all Production staff.
  • Lead, motivate, and delegate personnel in the Production area.
  • Spend at least 95% of time on the production floor, developing and supporting employees.
  • Perform hands-on setup, training, and troubleshooting of all packaging and production equipment.
  • Execute and document packaging & food safety Quality Checks into the Food Safety and Quality Assurance software.
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of automated packaging and manufacturing equipment, including hands-on operation, training, and troubleshooting of molding equipment, fillers, labelers, cappers, case packers, and robotic palletizers.
  • Ensure Production employees are trained in quality and machinery operations, as well as all operating procedures.
  • Acquire knowledge of GMP's, sanitation standards, and SQF & FDA requirements, ensuring staff follow key quality and food safety processes.
  • Ensure the on-time delivery of products according to the production schedule.
  • Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the entire production area.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and care of all machines, tools, and other auxiliary equipment.
  • Complete or verify completion of all paperwork on time and accurately.
