About The Position

Under general supervision, sets up equipment and insures the production of quality parts. Inspects parts and adjusts the equipment as required for an efficient operation. Safety is #1 at BTD: Our expectation is that every employee: 1) Strictly follows safety policies, rules and safe work methods. 2) Promptly corrects or reports safety hazards or unsafe conditions. Promptly reports injuries for prompt diagnosis and treatment. 3) Makes regular suggestions for safety process improvements to support continuous improvement in safety.

Requirements

Ability to visualize and interpret blue prints and sketches.
Ability to analyze, trouble shoot and resolve problems with equipment in production area.
Ability to adjust accordingly to changing production requirements.
Ability to verify all necessary paperwork, prints, patterns or check fixtures are present for part being set up.
Ability to verify that all paperwork, prints, patterns or check fixtures are to current revision level.
Ability to manufacture and inspect parts to blue prints and/or sketches using a Manufacturing Print as reference.
Ability to set-up and operate all types and sizes of equipment in the production area in a safe and efficient manner.
Ability to assist with the training of operators as required.
Ability to ensure setup and production processes are being followed.
Ability to ensure appropriate exchange of information at shift and/or operator change.
Ability to ensure safe setups and operations in area.

Responsibilities
