About The Position
IPEX is one of North America's leading providers of advanced plastic piping systems. We are seeking a Production Scheduler to join our team in Oakville, ON. This role reports to the Supply Planning Lead. As a Production Scheduler, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of production across multiple facilities. You will be responsible for creating and managing forward-looking schedules, identifying potential supply risks, and collaborating with various teams to maintain optimal inventory levels. Your contributions will directly impact operational continuity and customer satisfaction by aligning production plans with key business objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, APICS (CPIM), or equivalent experience in production planning or scheduling
- 5+ years of experience in production scheduling or supply planning
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams
- Adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to manage shifting priorities in a dynamic environment
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or a fast-paced manufacturing environment is considered an asset
- Experience with SAP and data analytics tools is an asset
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a rolling 3-month finite production schedule for assigned plants, balancing material availability, plant capacity, and business priorities
- Partner closely with production teams to communicate schedule updates, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback on schedule attainment
- Identify constraints and bottlenecks, and collaborate with supply planning and cross-functional stakeholders to develop proactive solutions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date planning master data within scheduling systems
- Act as a key point of contact for sales, customer service, and manufacturing, providing timely updates and production lead times
- Monitor and communicate changes in demand, disruptions, or supply risks to planning, procurement, and raw materials teams
- Leverage data and business intelligence tools to generate insights and deliver regular performance reporting
