About The Position

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Scheduler is accountable for creating and maintaining the overall Master Production Schedule (MPS) to meet operational and customer requirements and to ensure the optimal utilization of company resources. They are also accountable for, incumbent balances, raw supply, and production to ensure operational requirements align with sales forecasts and customer orders. The position works closely with the Plant Manager to coordinate planning of activities.

Requirements

3 year college diploma in Materials Management or Production Planning or equivalent experience
3-5 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment with specific exposures to planning, coordinating and scheduling production operations
Strong understanding of manufacturing food processes
Advanced skill in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing

Responsibilities

Creating and maintaining the Master Production Schedule (MPS)
Ensuring operation meets shipping dates according to sales forecasts and customer orders
Developing daily and weekly production schedules using the capacity plan
Planning and scheduling workflows and operations according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times
Integrating/aligning sales forecasts, raw material in process, and finished goods inventories, equipment capacities and staffing to meet production targets requirements
Creating inventory reports on a daily and weekly basis
Signing and approving invoices
Tracking daily and weekend overtime work completed for production
Adjusting schedule to meet changing needs (e.g. equipment breakdowns)
Making recommendations on production schedules
Making schedule adjustments within fixed parameters
Working to set deadlines
Covering the Production Control Analyst role as required
Performing other duties as assigned
