Job Summary: The Production Quality Coordinator serves as a key liaison between Production and Quality to help ensure products are manufactured efficiently while meeting customer, regulatory, and company quality standards. This role coordinates daily production and quality activities, facilitates communication across departments, tracks production and quality metrics, and helps resolve issues that may impact production schedules or product quality. The Production Quality Coordinator works closely with Production, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Planning, and other cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement, on-time delivery, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and written work instructions.
  • Proficiency in using Excel spreadsheets and basic computer applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and accept constructive feedback.
  • Strong problem-solving and judgment skills related to job duties, equipment, materials, and procedures.
  • Initiative to identify new tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Commitment to following company quality and environmental policies, including AS9100 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Must demonstrate strong written communication skills.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least 3 years working in a Manufacturing environment required.
  • At least 1-year administrative experience required.

  • Familiarity with quality control processes and documentation practices.
  • Experience working within AS9100 or ISO 14001 certified environments.
  • Mechanical aptitude or technical training related to the role.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily activities between Production and Quality to support manufacturing schedules and customer commitments.
  • Monitor production progress and quality performance, identifying and communicating potential issues that may impact delivery or compliance.
  • Serve as the primary point of coordination between Production, Quality, Planning, and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure alignment on priorities.
  • Assist with the disposition and tracking of nonconforming material, rework, and corrective actions to minimize production delays.
  • Coordinate inspections, first article inspections, and quality verification activities to support production flow.
  • Track and maintain production and quality metrics, including defects, rework, scrap, throughput, and on-time completion.
  • Support investigations into production and quality concerns by gathering data, coordinating resources, and following issues through resolution.
  • Help ensure manufacturing documentation, work instructions, inspection records, and quality documentation are complete and accurate.
  • Coordinate customer, internal, and regulatory audit activities as needed.
  • Assist in implementing process improvements that enhance product quality, efficiency, and communication between departments.
  • Participate in daily production meetings and communicate quality concerns, production constraints, and priority changes.
  • Work closely with supervisors and team leads to ensure production schedules are maintained while meeting quality expectations.
  • Support inventory, material flow, and production readiness activities as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, safety requirements, customer specifications, and applicable quality standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
