Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Know and follow general company and corporate policies and procedures.
Know, understand, and follow department policies and procedures.
Operates automatic and manual chemical process equipment of varying complexity in various production processes in accordance with operating procedures.
Controls heat-treating furnaces, baths and quenching equipment to alter physical and chemical properties of metal objects, using specifications and methods of controlled heating/cooling.
Places parts in racks, trays, or baskets and places objects on conveyor or loads.
Determines temperature and time of heating cycle, and type and temperature of baths and quenching medium to attain specified hardness, toughness, and ductility of parts.
Use standard heating charts, utilize knowledge of heat treating methods, equipment, and properties of metals.
Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications.
Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.
Fits and assembles parts into complete assembly.
Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly.
Installs machine replacement parts in mechanisms, machines, and equipment, and tests operation of unit to ensure functionality and performance.
Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.
Report to work on time, good regular attendance, follow instructions from supervisor or management, interact well co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures.
Crossing training into other various departments.
Other various duties as needed or as assigned.
