About The Position

The Kooks production team is looking for a highly motivated and skilled operator to join our fast paced team. The Production Prep Operator will be responsible for cutting, trimming and end forming of parts, operating machinery and equipment and ensuring quality standards are met. A successful candidate in this role will help create a workplace that is safe, clean, environmentally friendly, employee friendly, highly productive, efficient and of sufficient capacity to support the forecasted demand.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 year experience with measuring, cutting and forming tubing or similar role
• May require lifting, pulling, and carrying up to fifty (50) pounds
• Frequent bending, climbing, pulling, pushing, and reaching overhead
• Standing for extended periods of time, up to 9 hours per day
• Ability to work independently under general supervision; reports to supervisor
• Detail oriented with large emphasis on quality

Nice To Haves

• Experience with PROTO-1 machinery (deburring), expansion and reduction machinery, SOCO facing machine, and drill press is a plus

Responsibilities

• Measuring, marking and trimming parts per work instruction/fixture
• Operating and managing machinery and heavy equipment
• Cutting Tubing using bandsaws
• Following instructions from supervisors and implementing plans
• Maintaining all safety standards
• Ensuring that the work area is clean, safe, organized, and well maintained
• Other duties as necessary
