About The Position

This position is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the division’s team in production planning, scheduling, and inventory management functions. The role includes establishing and maintaining standard procedures for scheduling projects in production, providing standardized weekly reporting on plant capacity and lead times, and reviewing sales orders or change orders to collaborate with engineering and procurement on lead times. The position ensures information flows correctly in the ERP system, collaborates with other divisions on production capacity and load balancing, and identifies current and future production bottlenecks for continuous improvement through better routing. The successful candidate will build and develop relationships with internal and external customers, and as an integral member of the leadership team, will lead efforts to continually improve safety, profitability, and team member development. This includes promoting a culture of ownership, engagement, and teamwork, working with other departments to ensure consistency and long-term division success. Safety is paramount, and candidates must demonstrate the ability to uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience
  • Advanced computer proficiency, including advanced Excel skills
  • Prior manufacturing experience
  • Ability to travel occasionally
  • Must have supervisor and/or manager recommendation
  • Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • Previous experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with ERP systems
  • Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI)
  • Strong understanding of production flow, capacity planning, and inventory optimization

Responsibilities
