About The Position

As our Production Planning Specialist, you will lead the development of innovative planning systems, tools, and processes, leveraging ERP technology and AI-driven solutions to build a world-class production planning function. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact by creating a dynamic 13-week rolling production plan that drives efficiency, supports growth, and enables smarter decision-making across the business.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in production planning, materials planning, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
  • Experience developing and managing production schedules in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, capacity planning, and material requirements planning (MRP).
  • Experience using ERP systems for planning and scheduling activities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience in food manufacturing, dairy manufacturing, or another regulated production environment.
  • Experience implementing or improving planning systems, tools, and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Transform sales forecasts and customer demand into efficient production plans that support our service and growth goals.
  • Develop and manage weekly and daily production schedules while balancing capacity, labor requirements, and planned downtime.
  • Leverage ERP technology, data analytics, and continuous improvement principles to optimize planning performance.
  • Ensure the right materials are available at the right time by managing inventory, lead times, and production requirements.
  • Monitor finished goods inventory to maintain high service levels while reducing excess stock and waste.
  • Support smarter inventory decisions through proactive planning and analysis.
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to maximize efficiency and production flow.
  • Coordinate resources and planning activities to support on-time production and customer deliveries.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives that strengthen operational performance.
  • Proactively identify and communicate risks that could impact production schedules, material availability, or customer commitments.
  • Provide planning insights and reports that support informed business decisions.
  • Monitor planning performance and drive solutions that improve reliability and execution.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support operational requirements.
