This role is responsible for creating jobs in the ERP system, distributing job packets to production based on the master schedule, and coordinating production to ensure timely completion. The specialist will also receive completed work orders, monitor reports for material arrival and schedule accuracy, manage the entry of production activities, and process system changes. Analyzing customer forecasts, monitoring inventory levels, and supporting order prioritization are key functions. The role involves summarizing daily output, tracking performance against goals, communicating variances, and assisting with purchase orders and shipping. In Inventory Control, the specialist will issue materials in the system daily, investigate discrepancies, maintain accurate inventory counts, prepare for and lead physical inventories, reconcile inventories, perform cycle counting, and make necessary adjustments. They will also assess forecasted demand to maintain safety stock and finished goods levels, and support the administration of the Open Order Report to track shipment values and late orders.
