About The Position

The Production Planning Specialist I supports daily sales operations, demand planning, and investment coordination activities within a manufacturing environment. A significant portion of this role involves extracting data from ERP and planning systems, compiling inputs received from multiple teams, analyzing that data, and building recurring reports and presentations for internal leadership and global headquarters. The position executes sales order processes, assists with demand alignment, and maintains accurate data and documentation across planning and reporting systems, working under the direction of senior team members on clearly defined tasks. The Production Planning Specialist I works closely with internal teams, customers, and global headquarters to support operational activities, ensure data accuracy, and contribute to efficient coordination between sales, production, and investment functions in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in production planning, sales operations, supply chain, finance, or a related field required
  • Relevant internship, co-op, or undergraduate research experience in manufacturing, operations, planning, or a related field may be considered in lieu of full-time experience
  • Demonstrated reliable work history and consistent attendance in prior employment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and draw conclusions from operational data
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, filtering, and data validation for analysis and reporting
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, including the ability to build clear, well-organized reports and presentations for leadership audiences
  • Ability to consolidate data from multiple systems and sources into a single accurate view
  • Ability to learn and work within ERP systems and planning tools
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry
  • Ability to follow established processes and procedures

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
  • Exposure to ERP systems (SAP or similar) preferred
  • Experience compiling, analyzing, and reporting operational or business data preferred
  • Experience building reports or presentations for leadership audiences preferred
  • Experience coordinating with international stakeholders or headquarters personnel preferred
  • Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English preferred, including the ability to prepare written reports in Korean and participate in meetings conducted in Korean with headquarters and external stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage sales orders and return orders within ERP systems
  • Prepare and issue pro-forma and commercial invoices, ensuring accurate documentation and recordkeeping
  • Assist with onboarding of new customers, including system setup and coordination with internal teams
  • Create and maintain customer accounts within internal systems in coordination with HQ and business teams
  • Support monitoring of customer credit limits and assist with accounts receivable tracking and payment follow-up
  • Maintain and update product pricing within ERP systems
  • Support communication with customers and internal teams regarding order status and documentation
  • Support development and maintenance of sales plans based on customer demand
  • Coordinate with logistics and production planning teams to communicate customer demand requirements
  • Collaborate with HQ and global teams to support daily operational activities
  • Participate in meetings with global headquarters and external stakeholders, including meetings held in Korean and scheduled across time zones
  • Assist with investment planning activities, including data collection, tracking, and reporting
  • Support tracking of investment budgets, schedules, and project status
  • Extract and compile data from ERP and planning systems and consolidate inputs received from Production, Logistics, Finance, Quality, and business teams
  • Analyze sales, demand, production output, yield, and investment data to identify trends, variances, and reporting exceptions
  • Build and maintain data models, spreadsheets, and trackers in Microsoft Excel to support analysis and recurring reporting
  • Develop and deliver recurring daily, weekly, and monthly reports and presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint for internal leadership and global headquarters, including reports prepared in Korean
  • Validate data accuracy and resolve discrepancies prior to report distribution
  • Maintain accurate records and data related to sales, planning, and investment activities
  • Support cross-functional coordination between production, logistics, finance, and business teams
  • Follow established procedures and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Identify and escalate issues or risks to appropriate team members
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer, pricing, sales, and investment information
  • Maintain regular and reliable on-site attendance
  • Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain; Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container)
