About The Position

The Production Planning & Material Control Specialist is responsible for supporting production planning, material readiness, shortage management, and build execution for AI server, rack integration, and high-performance computing products. This role monitors demand, supply, inventory, MRP signals, purchase order status, and material constraints to support NPI ramp, mass production, and sustaining operations. The Specialist works closely with Supply Chain Management, Program Management, Production, Warehouse, Procurement, Engineering, Quality, suppliers, and logistics partners to protect production schedules and customer delivery commitments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field required.
  • 4-7 years of experience in production planning, material control, supply chain, purchasing, manufacturing operations, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience using ERP/MRP systems to manage demand, supply, inventory, purchase orders, shortages, material availability, and production build readiness.
  • Experience supporting electronics manufacturing, server assembly, rack integration, or high-mix manufacturing environments, with strong Excel, reporting, communication, and follow-up skills preferred.

  • Relevant training or certification in ERP/MRP, inventory management, production planning, purchasing, or logistics preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support production planning and material control execution for AI server and rack integration programs by reviewing customer demand, build plans, production priorities, inventory, and material availability.
  • Run and review ERP/MRP signals, shortage reports, open purchase orders, allocation status, and material arrival schedules to maintain executable production plans.
  • Track shortages, validate ETA, coordinate pull-in, push-out, substitution, allocation, and recovery actions with buyers, suppliers, and planning teams, and escalate risks that may impact production.
  • Support NPI builds, pilot runs, production ramp, engineering changes, and customer-priority builds through material readiness, warehouse/kitting coordination, and line-side availability follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate material control trackers, build readiness reports, inventory and WIP exposure reviews, cycle-count reconciliation, and timely stakeholder communication on risks and recovery timing.
