The Production Planning Manager will be responsible for ensuring inventory and delivery goals are met, aiming for zero customer disappointments while maintaining business inventory levels. This role involves enhancing current processes using Lean methodologies, developing and growing assigned personnel through strong leadership, and controlling inventory levels, cycle time, and work center loads to meet production schedules. The manager will set strategic direction for planning and scheduling, lead S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) for production forecasts, and manage factory lead times. Key responsibilities include establishing PCBA schedules, overseeing Shipping/Receiving/Material Handling/Warehouse functions, managing a team, leading yearly Physical Inventory activities to reduce ERP variances, contributing to S&OP materials planning, monitoring inventory levels, providing feedback to the Purchasing Materials Manager, reporting KPI metrics, escalating component shortages, mining ERP data, readjusting production schedules based on shortages, maximizing production efficiency, and utilizing pull methodologies.
