About The Position

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. As a Production Planner Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by facilitating the development and implementation of the plant’s supply chain vision and direction, leading the development and maintenance of the site supply chain processes based on best practices with a focus on Standard Work and actively partnering with adjacent functions and stakeholders for alignment and execution. You will also drive sustainable supply chain performance through production planning and scheduling, capacity planning, and procurement planning. Additionally, you will identify, define, and implement improvements to supply chain processes and performance to optimize service delivery and cost. This role involves conducting resource management, providing direct supervision to professional and support levels which include objective setting, performance management, and motivating, as well as training and coaching. You will also be responsible for understanding and enforcing corporate/location policies and procedures; taking appropriate actions to address policy violations. Taking initiative to proactively create cross-functional collaboration and engagement to more effectively implement programs and processes in support of the site’s plans and objectives is key. You will actively participate in the site leadership team, contributing to the plant’s safety, quality, service, efficiency, cost, sustainability, and people development objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Seven (7) combined years of experience in Supply Chain and/or Manufacturing in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Three (3) years of experience in a leadership and/or supervisory role in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
  • Provide education and work history, either by uploading a resume, or entering the information into the application fields directly.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain Management (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Five (5) years of experience in a leadership and/or supervisory role
  • Experience with SAP
  • Previous Planning and/or Supply Chain supervisory experience
  • Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM) Certification
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership to effectively deliver key operational objectives affecting service, inventory, and productivity
