The Production Planning Manager will be responsible for assuring inventory and delivery goals are met, driving towards zero customer disappointments while meeting business inventory levels. This role will enhance current processes using Lean methodologies and ensure the continued development and growth of assigned personnel through strong leadership. The manager will control inventory levels, cycle time, work center loads, and other aspects to meet production schedules, and set strategic direction for planning and scheduling activities. They will also provide leadership in working with Commercial Operations on developing production forecasts (S&OP), managing factory lead times, and establishing PCBA schedules. This role oversees Shipping/Receiving/Material Handling/Warehouse functions and manages a team including production planners, receiving, stock handlers, shipping, inventory management, warehouse, and international shipping logistics. Additionally, the manager will lead yearly Physical Inventory activity, reduce ERP variances, contribute to S&OP materials planning, monitor inventory levels weekly, report KPI metrics monthly, escalate key component shortages, mine data from ERP, readjust production schedules based on component shortages, and maximize production efficiency by aligning schedules to constraints using pull methodologies.
