About The Position

This internship focuses on developing and implementing manufacturing build plans to meet customer contractual delivery schedules. The intern will utilize the Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) system for various tasks including inputting schedules, tracking material availability, managing shop orders, and updating lead times. Collaboration with Manufacturing, Quality, and Materials Planning teams is essential to ensure timely execution of the build schedule and proactive management of materials. The role also involves providing hardware status updates and performance statistics.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge and/or experience in scheduling or supply chain planning preferred.
• Strong computer and analytical skills combined with the ability to manage large amounts of quantitative data
• Proficient in the use Microsoft Office software; working knowledge of relational data bases.
• Knowledge and/or experience with Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) or other enterprise planning and scheduling suite

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement manufacturing build plans to meet customer contractual delivery schedules
• Utilize Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) system to input Master Schedule build plans, track material availability, status kit readiness, release shop orders, and maintain all shop order records and inventory integrity
• Update and maintain make items lead times within MRP system
• Manage floor stock of program components
• Work jointly with Manufacturing and Quality teams to execute build schedule and address any issues in a timely manner
• Work with Materials Planners to proactively manage the schedule and material dock dates to ensure accuracy of planning
• Provide hardware status, updates and performance statistics to program team based on status of hardware through Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
