About The Position

Plans, prepares, issues, and controls production schedules, coordinating material requirements to ensure approved materials flow at the right time to meet production requirements. Advises management about work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems so personnel, equipment, materials, and services are available as needed. Schedules equipment and personnel; confirms material supply and demand; and prepares work orders or purchase requests for production or purchase of components or parts based on the master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements. Coordinates activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, and traffic. Schedules and expedites parts movement through move orders, stock transfers, and requests for shipping orders.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree and 3 years of relevant exempt experience, or a master's degree and 1 year of relevant professional experience. Equivalent qualifications may be used: NNS Apprentice School graduate; Navy Nuclear Power School graduate; associate's degree or other formal 2-year program plus 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience; military experience at paygrade E-5 or above; high school/GED plus 4 years of combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, military, or other relevant exempt experience; or high school/GED plus 8 years of combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, military, or other relevant non-exempt experience.
U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
