About The Position

Plans, prepares, issues, and controls production schedules, coordinating material requirements to ensure an orderly flow of approved materials timed to production needs. Advises management about work-in-progress status, material availability, and potential production problems so that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed. Schedules equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demand, and prepares work orders or purchase requests for producing or purchasing components and parts based on the master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements. Coordinates activity across departments, including quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, and traffic. Schedules and expedites parts movement using move orders, stock transfers, and shipping-order requests. This position is with HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding division. U.S. citizenship is required. The position is full-time, has multiple shifts, is not eligible for telework, and does not offer relocation assistance.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and zero years of relevant exempt experience, or an accepted equivalent qualification.
U.S. citizenship is required.
