About The Position

The Production Planner is responsible for ensuring the materials/products for daily production schedules are available within in-house inventory. This may include ensuring accurate allocations of products, reconciling daily production orders, customer service, reporting, routing of truck services and active communications. This role requires one with the ability to be results orientated, excellence driven and applies a sense of urgency to achieve business objectives. Applies good judgement, strong work ethics and integrity on the job.

  • 1-3 years forecasting & production planning
  • Bachelor Degree (Statistics, Mathematics, Logistics, Manufacturing, etc.) or equivalent years’ experience in production planning in a high paced manufacturing environment

Nice To Haves

  • APICS certification strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly and weekly production plan by model for assigned product class.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly SKU production plans
  • Maintain inventory levels at the distribution warehouse based on established lead times while managing within approved budget.
  • Review and incorporate monthly sales forecast by model for assigned product class.
  • Maintain working relationship with manufacturing, sales planning and other disciplines to optimize efficiency and ensure smooth product flow to the customer.
  • Manage phase-in and phase-out of new product introductions and transitions.
  • Analyze large amounts of sales and inventory data to make proficient production decisions at the SKU level.
  • Communicate across all business disciplines both verbally and written.
  • Gather, compile and analyze data from various sources.
  • Assist in annual planning and preparation of tools.
  • Maintain production forecasting tool (MPSP) each week for a rolling 8 weeks to ensure vendor forecasts and financial CIP planning are up to date.
  • Participate in additional projects to support ongoing business needs.
