About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Planner to join magniX's Operations Team, which is responsible for the production of our Electric Powertrain products. The Production Planner will play a critical role in building the data infrastructure, processes, and systems needed to scale from prototype to rate production. This role is central to how magniX tracks manufacturing performance and communicates production readiness to leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years production planning experience
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems and their applications in production control.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field
  • Ability to read and decipher engineering drawings, models, and specifications.
  • Experience with AS9100 or other aerospace quality management systems
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

  • Manage production documentation with traceability consistent with AS9100 requirements; own work order creation and actively track execution status to ensure build progress is visible and accurately reflected in the ERP system.
  • Develop and maintain a production readiness roadmap; track progress against rate-readiness milestones including tooling, fixturing, supplier qualification, process documentation, and workforce capacity.
  • Define, collect, and maintain key manufacturing metrics, and prepare reports and dashboards for internal leadership and shareholder audiences.
  • Maintain BOMs, routings, item master, and work orders in the ERP system; ensure data integrity across manufacturing, supply chain, and quality.
  • Partner with supply chain on material availability, lead times, and expediting of critical-path items; support make-vs-buy evaluations based on cost, capacity, and capability.
  • Lead efforts to formalize manufacturing processes, work instructions, and control plans in preparation for rate production; capture lessons learned from prototype builds and translate them into updated planning assumptions and process improvements.
  • Manage production documentation - travelers, build records, and shipping documents - with version control and lot traceability consistent with AS9100 requirements; coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely shipping execution.
