About The Position

The Production Planner supports daily manufacturing operations by coordinating production schedules, managing materials, and ensuring smooth workflow across departments. This role partners closely with supervisors and cross-functional teams to drive efficiency, maintain data accuracy, and support on-time delivery in alignment with ISO and Lean standards.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of one years’ experience in manufacturing planning, production control, or materials management
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution is require
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and schedules
  • Knowledge of production scheduling, capacity planning, and material flow processes
  • Proficiency in computer systems and production/reporting tools
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in ISO and Lean manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of Kanban systems and inventory management practices
  • Familiarity with label systems, reporting tools, and production databases
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, 5S)

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and adjust production across lines based on capacity, priorities, and material availability
  • Coordinate with supervisors and cross-functional teams (Engineering, Customer Service, Materials, Quality) to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Manage order packets, work assignments, shipment schedules, and production reporting (BSC, reschedules, overdues)
  • Monitor materials and inventory, including forecasting needs, managing Kanban levels, planning steel orders, and escalating shortages
  • Oversee labeling and system processes, including label design/printing, database maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Support operational excellence through Kaizen, 5S, cost improvement initiatives, audits, and team training
  • Provide hands-on support in manufacturing, material handling, shipping coordination, and customer service activities as needed
