About The Position

The Production Planner is responsible for day-to-day customer contact, working closely with plant personnel (cell leader, team leaders, sales, etc.) to schedule customer orders and respond to customer inquiries. This role requires working with production management to identify and resolve potential impediments to schedules and contributing to determining solutions for out-of-flow parts, working with engineers, the customer, and production to resolve issues. The Production Planner will maintain an ongoing relationship with customers, including delivery schedules and issue resolution. Responsibilities also include maintaining current inventory counts for each step in the process, utilizing both Oracle and physical inventory processes, and serving as the point of contact for customer visits regarding physical inventory counts and WIP reconciliation. Additionally, the role is responsible for data integrity on the digital representation of customer part inventory and customer order status.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 7-years of experience
  • 2 – 4 years in customer service
  • 5 or more years in operations, specifically with coatings processes preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work with many business functions and a dynamic team
  • Microsoft Office Suite skills, including MS Word (Basic), MS PowerPoint (Basic), and MS Excel (Intermediate / Advanced)
  • Enterprise Resource Planning skills, such as Oracle (intermediate preferred)
  • Self-directed and able to handle multiple priorities with firm deadlines
  • Must be either a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder) or otherwise classifiable as a U.S. person under relevant regulations.
