Plan production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and high utilization of available capacity. Maintain/set material master data, such as costing lot size, production lot sizes, safety stock levels (with approval). Mark and release cost estimates. Analyze, plan, and confirm sales order releases with respect to capacity planning and material requirements via SAP and FastPro. Review and plan new sales orders; create production orders; communicate critical dates to other departments as needed; provide timely confirmation of sales orders to the Sales department as per our marathon goals. Analyze the master schedule to ensure materials, manpower and resources are available to support the plan horizon. Establish production order priorities and work with the Production Scheduler to ensure priorities are maintained and executed to plan. Monitor exception messages and deltas and initiate changes to resolve production issues. Act as a point of contact for the Sales department on questions regarding order status updates and communicating changes in the schedule to the affected departments. Collaborate with Production Scheduler, and at times with Production Management to resolve production problems. Investigate and report the cause of critical material shortages and initiate corrective action as needed. Keep departments informed about completion dates, material changes or substitutions, and schedule modifications. Interface professionally with all departments, supervisors and managers as required. Ensure ISO/AS9100 compliance for all processes related to the purchasing, planning and execution of the production schedule, especially as they relate to ITAR/EAR work. Provide ad-hoc reporting as requested.
