About The Position
A busy machine shop/metal fabricator located in Trevose, PA is currently seeking a Production Planner to join their team. This person will help facilitate, organize and monitor production operations. This position is an integral part of our operation and acts as a gateway for all sales orders and production work. Knowledge of Machine Shop or Metal Fabrication processes is required.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Machine Shop or Metal Fabrication processes is required.
- Production planning: 3 years
- ERP systems: 2 years (Sage Mas 100 Preferred)
- Supply chain: 2 years
- Experience in a machine or fab shop environment
- Extensive knowledge of Planning Principles - shop floor scheduling, capacity planning, MRP & Order Point
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with all levels of internal and external customers
- Able to independently prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings & bill of materials
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word
Nice To Haves
- APICS - CPIM Certification (Preferred)
